       Varna Port Control works on a 24 hour basis, using VHF channel 16/11. There are no tidal restrictions at Varna Docks, (the difference being only 30 cm between high and low tides) or any other restrictions with reference to the quay.

   Cruise and passenger vessels can be berthed at Varna Passenger Terminal (Morska Gara) which is located 3 km far from the city downtown and 10 km far from the airport. There is a public transport near to the terminal and a taxi service as well. There is also a parking space for buses close to the shipside and very close to the docking berth for tour and transfer buses to pick up their passengers.

   There is unrestricted access to the Passenger Terminal Area but there is no access to the Commercial sections of the docks and to the Container Terminals for obvious reasons.

   There is a restaurant at the Terminal and on the entrance road (The Ship Restaurant).

Visitors should be wary of fishermen casting lines into the sea, as a fish-hook caught up in any part of your anatomy can ruin your day. Been there, done that, don't recommend it.
