         Highlights of the Gallery are works of art of national importance, such as : Vladimir Dimitrov (1882-1960) - the Master - “A young girl with grapes”, “Prayer”; Zlatyu Boyadzhiev- “Rest in the fields”, 1943, “Opening mines Pernik”; paintings by Ivan Markvichka, Boris Ivanov (1904-1975), Vasil Stoilov, Dechko Ouzounov, Stoyan Venev (1904-1989) and  sculptures by Kiril Shivarov plus a collection of west European art and Tsanko Lavrenov (1896-1978) - an original Bulgarian artist, who drew experience from the national traditions of old Bulgarian art and from folklore who poeticised the National Revival period architecture of old Bulgarian towns and monasteries as epitomes of Bulgarian spirit. His art is unique in its decorative linearity, reminiscent of the style of icons and murals - with typically Bulgarian, brightly coloured detailed scenes.
