hi jed...           just having a trawl around the net and found you....our names are Martin Berry and Dave Fecitt...we remember you very fondly when we spent many a happy Sunday on the Black Rose Tunnel Dig in Kingsdale Master Cave about 33 or 34 years ago...Hope your keeping well and still active...unlike me but not Dave...   Hope to hear from you soon,   Martin and Dave

Extract from Descent Magazine Jan/Feb 1977 No 35.

"'Climber@ Perry zoomed up the wall into the alcove and rigged a 10' ladder for the less agile amongst us. 'Miner' Eddie took the dig in hand putting 'Thin' Dave up top in the mud and 'Scribe' Bill on the lumpy ground with pick and lump hammer. 'Hairy' Tone and 'Gooner' Martin scavenged for the debris with buckets and threw it down into the stream way where it washed down to the sump. I set up shop on a small ledge and made the coffee ...
