Veliki Ponedelnik

(Good Monday)

     The week before Easter is called by Bulgarians “Great” or “Passion Week” and it is related to a number of restrictions and prohibitions. During the whole week people must not sing songs, except religious ones, they don’t dance and there is no music. The one who does not obey these rules will have a boil on his bottom.

      On this day begins the great Easter cleaning.
